    Differences Between Versions

Eudora 5 Light, Sponsored, and Paid

Eudora 5 comes in three versions:
    • Paid -- which gives you all the features and no advertising
    • Sponsored -- which gives you all the features and advertising
    • Light -- which gives you most of the features and no advertising
Of the features that Light mode doesn't have, the following are used in strategies that the book discusses.
    • filtering actions Make Label (important! p.39), Play Sound (p.51), Open Message/Mailbox (p.49), and
    • toolbar customization (p.95)
    • stationery (p.141)
    • spell check (p.212)
    • personalities (p.57) Reply With (p.150)
    • FCC (p.55)

    Eudora 4.x Pro

Eudora 4 Pro has almost all of the features of Eudora 5. It is missing the following features that are mentioned in the book:
    • Mood Watch (p.169)
    • Regular Expressions (p.245)
In addition, the address book looks a little different from Figure 35 on p.126.

    Pre-Eudora 4 Versions

I haven't researched the Eudora versions pre-Eudora 4 yet. If you need to know, send me email and I'll research it for you right away.
